This event started as a fun way to break up the winter months
until the golf season opened. A group of boaters known as the
"Sunday AM Hackers" designed an 18 hole golf course , on the ice,
in the harbor, complete with Christmas trees and tee boxes. The
first event was so successful and fun they have been doing it for 7
years. Along the way they also discovered they could make money
doing it!!!
They have donated over $20,000 to local charities . That is 100%
of the profits raised through green fees, hole sponsors, food and
beverage sales, and silent auctions.
You don't have to be a golfer to enjoy this event. Regulation
golf clubs are used to hit tennis balls around the course.
Interesting costumes and improvised cart sleds have appeared over
the years. It is a four person best shot with a true shotgun start.
Sign your team up early, as it fills up fast.
